Dr. Chongjin Xie is a world-leading expert and technical leader, with 30-year experience in optical communication and interconnects industry. He is an IEEE Fellow and Optica Fellow, with deep experience in both academic research and product development.
Before founding PhotonicX AI, Dr. Xie, served as senior director and chief scientist at Alibaba Cloud, and was a distinguished member of technical staff at Bell Labs. He made significant contributions on high-speed optical communication systems and networks, and made many industry firsts in datacenter optical interconnects.
Dr. Xie has authored over 250 technical publications and holds more than 60 patents. He served as Technical Program Chair of the Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) in 2019 and General Chair in 2021, reflecting his leadership and influence within the global optical communications community.
Dr. Miaofeng Li is a senior expert in silicon photonics, with over a decade of experience spanning from chip design, product development, to large-scale engineering deployment.
Before co-founding PhotonicX AI, Dr. Li served as a senior technical expert at Alibaba Cloud, where he led silicon photonics chip development initiatives. He worked as a principal engineer at the National Information Optoelectronics Innovation Center, contributing to the development of advanced photonics chip technologies and system integration platforms.
Dr. Li has led the design and commercialization of many silicon photonics chip products, with extensive experience in chip design, process integration, and system compatible engineering. He has authored more than 30 technical publications and holds over 20 patents.
Jun Zhou is a seasoned industry leader in communications and semiconductor technologies, with over 30 years of experience driving large-scale manufacturing, supply chain operations, and industry deployment.
Before joining PhotonicX AI, Mr. Zhou co-founded and served as CEO of Hengxin Semitech Co., Ltd., and he played a key role in advancing the domestic development of digital wireless paging technologies. He has extensive experience in leading product commercialization and scaling operations across RF chip design, communication module development, and system integration.
Mr. Zhou has built and managed large engineering and operations teams, with deep expertise in industrial execution, production scaling, and business expansion across communication and semiconductor industries.
